Garage Rail
Clarendon Street,
Twin Peaks
For this railing we sandblasted and blued very dark mild steel. This process creates an almost black finish that does not require paint. A beautiful wood cap of exotic dark pipe from Brazil finishes the railing.

Galvanized Deck Rail
Gates Street,
Bernal Heights
Outdoor railings made of mild steel require a coating or they will naturally rust. This process usually includes dipping them into a tub of molten galvanization. Unfortunately, the very thin metal bar selected for this project would fold like a pretzel while undergoing this treatment. As an alternative we sprayed on zinc galvanizing, a durable coating that is guaranteed for the life of the rail. This finish is soft to the touch, non-shiny and warmer looking than the industrial hot dipped galvanizing process, perfect for this small, cozy Bernal Heights home.

Foot Rail
Bacar Restaurant
SOMA
The shape and extensive length of this rail required that it be fabricated inside the restaurant. 1 1/2" mild steel round tubing was carefully bent to follow the radius of the bar. Flat black paint helps the railing to blend into the floor of the bar.

Powder-Coated Exterior Handrail

It is a great choice for outdoor railings because it never rusts, requires no maintenance, and comes in any color. In this case we applied a silver coating with a metallic flake. This rail was made to code using 1-1/4" round tubing carefully bent to follow the radius of the stairway opening.
